The Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital that is centrally located on Main Street in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Less than 3 miles from New York City, Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital serves the greater New Jersey community but our client base reaches out into Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Delaware. Though taking up a relatively small footprint, we boast a large variety of services and facilities not usually found outside of emergency clinics and teaching hospitals. Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital and its staff are equipped to provide your pet with the utmost care, and you with the utmost courtesy and attentiveness.
The Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital is operated and run by two veterinarians, Dr. Paul Kim and Dr. Cathy Chun.
We maintain a staff of exceptionally trained veterinary technicians, assistants, and supporting staff.

Preventative Care and Immunizations
Is the founder and head veterinarian of Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital. Dr. Kim received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Seoul National University in South Korea. His curriculum vitae includes an internship at the Samsung Zoo and the Equine Medicine ECFVG internship through the University of Missouri. Dr. Kim has also done many postgraduate courses, including on Small Animal at Animal Medical Center in New York, and the second one at University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center and Chi Institue of Florida, he also specializes in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicines.
Dr. Kim has treated and served thousands of patients and clients in his over twenty years of practice. Dr. Kim's specific interests include orthopedic surgery and soft tissue surgery. He has performed countless advanced orthopedic surgeries, including cruciate ligament surgery, patella lunation fixation, disc surgery, complicated fracture fixations, and other orthopedic surgeries not typically performed in primary care or general practice facilities.
Despite his rich experience and countless satisfied clients, Dr. Kim continues to work to improve himself and his hospital to better serve our current and future clients and their pets. He is currently completing a Master's program through the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM).
Dr. Kim is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and is USDA certified. He is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) through the Chi Institute of TCVM. He now lives with an adorable Morkie, Mocha.
Is the associate veterinarian of Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital. Dr. Chun received her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctori from the University of Pennsylvania, after attending University of Connecticut and completing a degree in Animal Science and Pathology. During her undergraduate experience, she wrote an honors thesis on th effects of maternal nutrition on fetal hearts in sheep.
For Dr. Chun, the most satisfying part of being a veterinarian is building everlasting relationships with clients and being able to provide treatment that allows a family’s pet to have the best quality of life.
Her clinical interests include internal medicine, emergency, surgery, and dermatology. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
In her free time, Dr. Chun enjoys snowboarding, trying new restaurants, exploring new cities, and lives with a 14 year old Shih Tzu named Mimi, a 16 year old cockatiel named Dusty, and has just welcomed her newest furry companions, a pair of adorable rabbits named Moose and Roux! .
