Meet Our Veterinarian

Dr. Paul K. Kim (DVM, MS-TCVM)

Veterinarian

Dr. Kim is the founder and head veterinarian of Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital. After receiving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Seoul National University in South Korea, Dr. Kim currently maintains an extensive postbaccalaureate profile dedicated to animal welfare, including courses in Small Animal Medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York and the University of Pennsylvania.

In addition to being a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA), Dr. Kim recently received a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), integrating a broader range of holistic therapies into his practice. TCVM therapies include herbal medicine, food therapy, tui-na as well as different acupuncture techniques to help restore the pet’s Qi, or energy, resulting in a healthier, more pain-free lifestyle.

Aside from primary care, Dr. Kim’s clinical interests include exotic animal care, emergency medicine, as well as orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. His everyday practice includes a wide range of advanced technology, including computed tomography (CT), cardiac ultrasonography, and electrocardiogram interpretation. Dr. Kim combines Eastern and Western medicinal technologies to synergistically heal patients throughout almost thirty years of practice.

Dr. Daniel Dima

Veterinarian

Welcome! I’m Dr. Dima, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital team. With 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine, I am deeply passionate about animal care and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for my patients.

My journey began early when I enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Vocational High School in my hometown. I continued my education at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Skopje, Macedonia, where I developed a strong interest in working with companion animals.

At Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital, my goal is to combine advanced medical techniques with a compassionate approach, ensuring each pet receives personalized care and attention. I believe in building strong relationships with pet parents to better understand and meet their pets’ needs.

In addition to my veterinary practice, I am proficient in English, Macedonian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Serbo-Croatian, with conversational knowledge of French and Italian. This linguistic diversity helps me connect with a broad range of clients and ensures clear, effective communication.

When I’m not at the clinic, you can find me hiking and enjoying the outdoors, spending time with my pets, or volunteering in local LGBTQ+ outreach programs. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends and providing the care and support they deserve.

Dr. Dongho Seo

Dr. Seo is deeply passionate about blending holistic healing with modern veterinary science to support the lifelong health of dogs and cats. Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and shaped by decades of hands-on experience, he brings a thoughtful, compassionate approach to every case—especially those that seem beyond hope.

🩺 Credentials
Dr. Seo is a licensed veterinarian with over two decades of experience in both conventional and integrative medicine. He earned his veterinary degree in South Korea in 1995 and completed a Master’s in 1997 before relocating to the United States to pursue advanced training and licensure.

Under the mentorship of leading specialists—cardiologist Dr. George Kramer and internal medicine expert Dr. Robert Justin—Dr. Seo gained extensive experience in diagnostics, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. In 2008, he joined the renowned Smith Ridge Veterinary Center, where he trained and practiced alongside integrative medicine pioneer Dr. Marty Goldstein, treating complex and chronic conditions in pets often with exceptional results.

With advanced training in functional medicine, Dr. Seo specializes in identifying root causes, correcting underlying imbalances, and guiding families through thoughtfully designed treatment plans that align with both natural healing principles and practical needs. He also supports preventive care through tailored nutritional guidance and mindful vaccine strategies to support the lasting health of pets.

💛 Beyond the Clinic
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Seo is a devoted husband, father, and member of his church community. He finds joy in simple moments with his wife, two daughters, and their beloved cat, Kitty.
